Wedding Day Content Creation is so new
I bet you have questions!
Frequently Asked Questions
There are no silly questions! Here's some FAQ's I've come across. If you have a question that isn't listed here, please just reach out and I'd be happy to chat about it!
How do you work with photographers/videographers/other wedding vendors?
This is something I pride myself on. I've worked in/around the wedding industry since I graduated University and I know that it takes finesse to work with other wedding vendors. I also know that the content creation industry is newer and not every vendor has had the opportunity to work with someone like me before - and maybe they're a little bit unsure or nervous about it.
I always make sure my fellow vendors are comfortable around me, and that starts the moment I'm hired. One of my first questions to all of my couples is - "who is your photographer?" I always start with a follow on Instagram and/or Tiktok and start a conversation with them so they have an opportunity to check out my work and see what I do. Often, because I've introduced myself and have started a rapport, photographers are excited to meet me and we have a fantastic working relationship on the wedding day.
To me, photographers are the leader of the pack and they call the shots. I'm there to capture the day as it happens, and that often means the photographer will be in those videos. So ensuring the rest of your creative team knows that I'm not there to get in their way goes a long way on your wedding day.

What equipment do you have?
-
Multiple phones - my main phone is a Google Pixel 8 Pro, and I have a few other older Pixel models that I'll use as well (all have fantastic cameras)
-
2 wireless lapel mics - I have the DJI Mini mics in both black and white options. I love to use these to record your ceremony, your speeches, or any other time during your wedding that we'd want crisp audio.
-
Ring light/tripod - I have a large ring light/tripod that I use during your ceremony for example. I'll set it up in the corner with a phone and just let it run and capture the entire ceremony.
-
Gimbal - I have the DJI Osmo gimbal to ensure everything is captured smoothly.
-
Drone - I have the DJI Mini 3 pro drone (and back up) to capture any outside moments from above.
-
Lights - I have multiple lighting options from little pocket lights to larger studio style lighting.
-
Cannon G7X camera - I always carry this one me just in case. You never know when you want quality just a step above social media quality.

Does the drone cost extra?
Nope! Flying my drone is my favourite thing to do and if you want your day captured from the sky, I can guarantee you're going to love what I see!
I'm in the process of getting my full pilot's licence and hope to add a bigger drone to my collection soon!
The drone is an awesome way to capture some incredible moments at a unique viewpoint.

Do you take the place of Photographers?
Not at all! I'm there to capture the day through video format organically. I'm not a photographer.
Your photographer is such an integral part of your wedding day, and often that relationship isn't captured on film since they're always the one behind the camera. One of my most favourite things to capture are those moments between the couple and their photographer that bring the genuine laughs and smiles.
I work WITH your photographer to create something beautiful for you. But I also know my place in the hierarchy. Photographers run the show on the wedding day (same with Wedding Planners). So no, I absolutely do not take the place of your traditional wedding photographers. If you're looking for a great photographer, please reach out because I have some amazing ones I've worked with that I'd love to share!
